What I've found so far is an identity crisis and a very deep dissatisfaction with the way my life has turned out so far. So, I've made a list of a few goals of things I'd like to accomplish by the end of the year and I'll be sharing some of them with you to get some insights and advice from those who may have been in the same situation as me at one point in their life.

First goal: Find my own place. I'm still living with my parents, mostly because of bills and...other obligations, there is no way I can support myself financially on top of the burden of living on my own. This is made even more complicated due to the custody schedule I have for my daughter. So, taking that into account, I would need a two-bedroom place at the minimum, as having your five year old daughter sleeping in the same room is just weird. I've also resigned the fact that I will never be able to have a place on my income alone so I would need a roommate, who would also need his or her own room. Three bedrooms. I'm not worried about finding such a place as you can find some very nice places for a decent price if you know how to look. My major concern is finding a roommate who wouldn't mind splitting the costs of a three bedroom place where the third bedroom would only be used every other weekend by my daughter, never mind the fact tolerating that a five year old child would be there every other weekend. (I suppose it could be furnished and decorated to be gender neutral.) I have no idea how to even approach the idea and I've been wracking my brain on this for a while. Theoretically, a two bedroom place is possible, but that would tie into one of my other goals.

Second goal: Start dating again. It's been over three years since my last relationship after the divorce. It's time to regain my confidence and get over the mental blocks that keep me from just throwing myself to the sharks. (The shark metaphor seems appropriate when talking about women and dating) I've always been an awkward, shy, bumbling person when it came to dealing with the fairer sex, I think I should start using that to my advantage now. I don't think my standards are TOO high, nothing wrong with being selective when it comes to relationships right? If I get really lucky, I won't need that three bedroom place :)

Third goal: Become healthy. The biggest step in this is quitting smoking. I don't smoke heavily, but it's enough to where I'm buying a new pack every other day. I don't really like smoking, but it's my primary coping mechanism when dealing with the stress that comes with my job. Then it's the improving of my diet and exercising habits. I've already taken steps towards improving my diet a bit: I cut back significantly on soft drinks, I cut back on my junk food intake, and I've added more water into my diet. I figure the best place to start would be to burn the fat off my midsection. I'm by no means fat, and most people would probably tell me that I look great, (If I wasn't so self conscious, I'd post a picture in here) but it's a self-image thing. I would feel happier and more confident if I didn't have love handles and a spare tire in my mid-section. It certainly won't be easy, but if I put forth the same effort with this as I did with my hunter, I think I can do it. Adding vegtables into my diet won't be easy though. I do not like the taste of them. /shudder

That's just the tip of the iceberg for my goals. I do have others of course, but I figure these three are the biggest ones I should try for first.

Introducing: Fig

Hello everyone. Since I've walked away from World of Warcraft, I felt it was fruitless to contine writing a WoW-related blog. Instead, I decided to start this one as more of a general 'talk about whatever the hell I feel like talking about' blog. Besides, I wasn't much of a WoW-blogger anyways. Expect to see me talk about everything from music to my favorite books to things that drive me crazy. Just as a warning: I may occasionally use profanity. It won't be excessive but you know, just a heads up.

Anyways, this is an introduction so here it goes! As you may have guessed, Fig is a nickname for me. My real name is Jeffrey Figueroa. (Can you see where the nickname comes from now?) I will be 25 years old this coming Sunday, (I'm so looking forward to it. *sigh*) currently single (Well, divorced, but after almost four years it sort of becomes one and the same, you know?), I have a five year old daughter, and I currently reside in the Southcentral part of Pennsylvania. I enjoy reading, video gaming, writing (I plan to get back into it), music, (I avoid rap, hip/hop, and death/screaming metal like the plague, but I'm fairly open to anything else) and going for drives that have no ultimate destination. (I do some of my best thinking while driving.)

I'm an animal person. I have one cat, unfortunately, my current living arrangements prevent me from having a dog (I prefer larger breeds but pugs make me squee every time I see one). I'd also like to have an aquarium of fish, but lack of space currently has that idea on hold. I don't watch much T.V. anymore, as I feel most of it is the same boring crap just wrapped in a different package. That's not to say I don't have shows I enjoy watching: Bones is probably the most prominent of them. Most of my "T.V." watching is in the form of DVDs of shows I did enjoy watching but are no longer on. I do enjoy movies, being particular to sci-fi, fantasy, and comedies myself. Horror movies just don't do it for me. I prefer indoor activities as opposed to things like: fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, etc. Not saying that I don't go outside, I just prefer them.

That's me (Well, not entirely me.) summed up in about three paragraphs. If you have anything you'd like to know, feel free to ask. As long as it isn't too personal, (This is the internet afterall) I'll be more than happy to answer them.
